Cast Glass Artworks Made to Order

Ordering a bespoke work of art can be an extremely rewarding experience. Having a connection with the artist and the making process further enhances the joy of owning art.

I encourage you to email me or even better pick up the phone to discuss options. Tell me about your ideas and what you want from a cast glass artwork.

Rest assured there is no obligation from initial enquiries!

Consultation

I will spend some time asking you about your reasons for wanting to commission a glass artwork, go through examples of what you may have liked previously and we will discuss form, colours and placement of the final work.  Consultations can be undertaken in person, over the phone using sent images and also via video chat. Expectations will be managed through clear communication from both of us. If I don't think I can deliver the glass you want I will be honest with you from the beginning.

Timeframes

This is entirely dependent on the requested piece and my workload. Smaller pieces can take from 4 to 8 weeks, whether larger pieces have a completion time of up to 3 months. Rooms can require 6 months to create. At the time of enquiry, I will give you an ETA depending on my current workload.

Price and Payment

I will confirm the full price of the cast glass artwork up front, following the initial consultation and without variation. Pack and Post within New Zealand will apply to orders. Approximately $15 - $50 depending on your artwork. International courier costs are available upon request. A 50% deposit is required for all commission works to confirm the order. The remaining balance is to be paid before/on delivery of the glass artwork. Layby options are available by request.

Packaging

Large artworks include a presentation box or a travel crate. They are designed to ensure secure travelling of the glass and future storage options. The boxes and crates are made from archival materials, individually suited to each cast glass artwork. This packaging is included in the price of the piece.

Assurance and Approval

I will often make two versions of a commission work to ensure success out of the kiln. If there are two options available, you can select the one you would like via emailed images or by visiting the studio. If for any reason you are unhappy with your commissioned piece once you see it, I will refund the full price of the work. This is provided the glass is returned to me within 7 days and without any damage to the artwork or packaging. Rest assured that you can approve your bespoke glass artwork in your home. I understand that purchasing a piece of glass art is a personal transaction and a special investment.

The information above is to give clarity around the commission process and ordering bespoke glass artwork. If you have any further questions please feel welcome to contact me. I would love to hear from you!
